Yield: 8 servings2 cans | tomato soup (26 oz. each) |
2 cans | water (26 oz. each) |
1 1/2 cup | diced tomato (canned or fresh) |
3 ounces | diced onions (optional) |
1/2 | green pepper, sliced thin (optional) |
4 ounces | mushrooms, sliced (or serve as an optional topping) |
1 pound | Italian sausage |
4 ounces | pepperoni, sliced or cubed |
1 1/2 tablespoon | basil leaves (rounded) |
2 tablespoons | oregano (rounded) |
1 tablespoon | onion powder (rounded) |
1 tablespoon | garlic powder (rounded) |
1/2 pound | mozzarella cheese |
1. Combine tomato soup, water and tomatoes in pot.
2. Saute onions, peppers and mushrooms and add to pot.
3. Cook and drain sausage and add to pot. Add pepperoni and spices.
4. Cook for at least 1 hour. Sprinkle each serving with mozzarella cheese.
Note: Makes 1 gallon (recipe fills my family size crockpot)
Note: When adding the spices you may think the amounts are typos, they are not; they are Tablespoons, not teaspoons.
