This recipe is hands-down the most memorable dessert of my entire childhood. I loved eating these far before I even liked coconut, because they are so sweet, chewy, and chocolatey. My mom continues to make this recipe every Christmas, although one year is never frequent enough. I ask her for this recipe all the time because I so frequently misplace it, but now I can trust I will never lost it again. This recipe is a little on the pricier side, but the memories attached to it are priceless, so it is worth every penny! I cannot wait to share these delicious and addictive little bars with my future family.
