1/3 cup | sugar |
1/3 cup | light corn syrup |
1/3 cup | creamy peanut butter |
FROSTING: | |
1/2 cup | semisweet chocolate chips |
2 tablespoons | butter |
1 tablespoon | light corn syrup |
1/4 cup | sliced almonds |
Preheat oven to 350°. Grease bottom of 13 x 9 pan.
For brownies, mix and bake according to package directions. Cool in pan while preparing topping.
For topping, combine sugar and corn syrup in heavy saucepan. Bring to boil over medium heat. Stir in peanut butter. Spread over warm brownies. Cool 10-15 minutes.
For frosting, combine chocolate chips, butter, and 1 tablespoon corn syrup in pan. Cook, stirring constanly, on low heat until melted. Spread frosting over peanut butter layer. Spinkle with almonds. Cool completely. Refrigerate until chocolate is firm, about 15 minutes. Cut into bars.
