New Shopping List Features

The next generation shopping list features in Cook'n 14 allow you to create, save, and sync an unlimited number of lists. Now you can make a list for your regular trips to the store and you can tweak it and change it from week to week based on your needs.
With Cook'n 14, you can add, edit, and delete items on your shopping list. You can even click a button to see which recipe the item on your list came from. You can sort the items on your list by aisle to save you time & money at the store. Or, you can sort the items by recipe to make sure you've got all the things you need to make the meal.

When you want to re-use a shopping list, the "Uncheck All Items" button makes it easy to start fresh. And, if you happen to print your shopping list, you will see that we added a check-box to the print-out to make it easy for you to check things off as you go through the store.

Display Cookbook and Chapters in List View Mode

Sometimes, when browsing recipes that don't have food photos, the list view is better. Cook'n 14 detects this condition and switches to list mode for you automatically. And, we added a toggle to Cook'n 14 so you can manually switch to and from List View any time you like. When you do this, Cook'n will memorize your selection and display the cookbook or chapter this way every time.Click here to see this feature in action.

Drag & Drop Food Photos

Let's face it. Your recipes look much better with food photos. With Cook'n 14, adding photos to your recipes just got a whole heck of a lot easier. Now, you can drag and drop food photos onto your recipes. Do you see a photo that you like on the web? Just drag it and drop it onto your recipe!

New Photo Editor

The new Photo Editor in Cook'n 14 makes it easy to edit your food photos. Now you can resize, rotate, and crop your photos right in Cook'n 14.

New Search Features

The new search features in Cook'n 14 make it easier for you to find what you're looking for. With Cook'n 14, you can search your cookbook list. You can search all of your menus. And, you can search your categories. We even added a right-click menu option to the search results so you can open recipes in a new tab.

New Customizable User Interface

The new look & feel in Cook'n 14 is cool. But, what's even better is that it's totally customizeable! You have total control over the look & feel in Cook'n 14!
You can remove the text from the toolbar if you like.
You can change the toolbar icon colors too! This is how it looks with dark purple icons.
You can change to a single-color toolbar if you like.
You can change the color of the app icons too. In this example, I changed the app icons to red. With red app icons and white toolbar icons on the "Dark Chocolate" theme, this looks...interesting. What fun creations can you come up with? Just click Options->Customize Appearance and get creative!

Added Rename Option to Right-Click Menu

Cook'n 14 makes it easy to rename your recipes, chapters, and cookbooks. Just right click and choose "Rename."

Variety of Other Improvements

Many of the cookbooks in Cook'n are missing photos (even the cookbooks you purchased). As a result, the cookbook view in Cook'n and, more importantly, the cookbook view that your Cook'n Friends see doesn't look as good as it could! We added logic in Cook'n 14 to automatically add photos to the cookbooks that are missing photos.

We improved the Pluralization Logic in Cook'n 14 so ingredients in recipes call for "1-2 cups" appear in plural form rather than singular (i.e. "1-2 cups apples" rather than "1-2 cups apple").
