Backup Your Recipes!!

The new iPhone is out. YAY!!! But, BEFORE you get rid of your old phone...be sure to BACKUP YOUR RECIPES to the Cook'n Cloud first!

Access to the Cook'n Cloud is for members only. But, you can sync your recipes to your new phone for a 1-time fee of only $4.95. Just sign up to the Basic Monthly membership plan and then unsubscribe any time in the next 30 days. Click here to sign up.

Remember...you can download and use the Cook'n App for free forever but some optional services like Cloud Storage & Sync, tech support, and other web services like unlimited Capture & Scan are available to members only. The only way to get your recipes from your old phone to your new phone is to sync them to the Cook'n Cloud. So, before you get rid of your old phone, be sure to sign up so you don't lose your favorite recipes!!

FYI...the reason we sent this message is because we received the following 1-star review recently:

This user said:

I’ve had this app for a couple years and had loaded and shared many of my personal recipes only to find they are all gone and if you’re not a premium paying member, they do not support you. Disappointing

I responded by saying the following:

That's right. Your recipes will disappear. Your photos will disappear. Basically, everything on your device will eventually disappear if you don't back them up to the Cloud. For example, Apple charges $10.99 per month for 2 TB of iCloud storage. If you don't pay that and you get a new phone, guess what...bye bye photos!

Similarly, the Cook'n app is a great way to organize your recipes and it's wonderful that you can download it and use it for free forever. But, for heaven's sake...pay $5 at least ONE TIME in TWO YEARS to sign up for the Basic Monthly Membership Plan so you can backup your recipes to the Cook'n Cloud! You can unsubscribe any time in the next 30 days and your total cost will only be $5. That's it. $5. Less than the cost of a hamburger at McDonalds.

Aren't your personal recipes and the time you spent putting them into the app worth more than that? We sent you multiple emails. We sent you in-app messages. And, we sent popup messages to your device encouraging you and inviting you to pay a one-time fee of $5 to backup your recipes to the Cook'n Cloud and, apparently, for a couple years now, you ignored every single one of our messages.

I'm sharing this with you because I am concerned that perhaps some of you may be in a similar situation.

The new iPhones will start arriving in three days. If you get one of the new iPhones and rid of your old phone without backing up your recipes to the Cook'n Cloud, your recipes will disappear!

So, please don't let this happen to you! Sign up for the Basic Monthly Membership Plan today! It only costs $4.95 and you can unsubscribe at any time.

If you sign up today and unsubscribe any time in the next 30 days, it will only cost you a one-time fee of $4.95 and all your recipes will be backed up to the Cook'n Cloud!

If you choose NOT to do this, that's OK...just please don't go and write a 1-star review about Cook'n later. 😂

Hey Dan,

Just wanted to thank you for the email regarding the one star review. That actually inspired me to finally get my subscription going....I’m 68 years old, been baking my whole life and am so thankful for this recipe app! I’m retired, so $50 is a lot of money, but since I don’t have paper copies anymore of old special recipes, it’s now worth it to have them safely tucked away.

Thank you for sharing that awful review, but it’s a life lesson well earned. Too bad for the stubborn person unwilling to protect the important stuff. Kinda sorry not sorry for her. Oh well, gave me the bump to git’er done! Thank you again for such an awesome place to save my special recipes! Adore the app and appreciate all your hard work to keep it going!
