See how to cook hands-free using Alexa!

That's right! Cook'n with Alexa is available right now!

The genius Cook'n programmers have been working on this Alexa Skill for quite some time and we are pleased to announce that it is ready for you right now!

Note that this skill only works on Echo Show devices. If you don't have one yet, you might want to consider getting one now because Amazon has huge discounts on these devices at this time of year.

If you already have an Alexa Show, follow these steps to install the Cook'n Recipe Organizer skill:

  1. Launch the Alexa app
  2. Tap More on the right side of the bottom navigation bar
  3. Tap Skills & Games
  4. Tap the search icon in the top right corner
  5. Type "cook n" and select "Cook n Recipe Organizer" (IMPORTANT: Remember to put a space between the 'k' and the 'n' and search for "cook[space]n" rather than "cook[apostrophe]n")
  6. Log in to your Cook'n Cloud Account

To launch the skill on your Alexa Show device, simply say "Alexa, open Cook'n Recipe Organizer." Once the skill is launched, you can follow the on screen instructions. Here are some suggested commands (note that you don't have to say the "Alexa" wake word every time as long as the blue bar is displayed on the bottom of the device. If the blue bar goes away, then, you must say "Alexa" to wake it up again):

  1. "Alexa, show me my cookbooks"
  2. "Show me the first result"
  3. "Show me the second result"
  4. "Scroll down"
  5. "Scroll down"
  6. "Show me the eighth result"
  7. "Ingredients"
  8. "Next"
  9. "Next"
  10. "Next"
  11. "Directions"
  12. "Next"
  13. "Next"
  14. "Next"

Also note that the Cook'n Recipe Organizer skill on Alexa pulls your recipes from the Cook'n Cloud. If you haven't synced your recipes to the Cook'n Cloud yet, just tap the Sync button and then tap Sync Now."

We hope you have a super fun time with this new Cook'n skill. Enjoy!!!
