Can Opener Poll

So, talking about all these delicious-sounding, canned good recipes makes me dread the can opening process.

My wedding-gifted can opener has definately seen it's day. It's so dule that last time I used it, it slipped off and splashed me with a bunch of canned chicken juice... YUCK! Needless to say, it's time for a new kitchen toy.

My grandma has one of those nifty under-cabinet automatic can openers. Super handy, but they seem to be not so aesthetically pleasing. And, my mom has one of the openers that is hand-twisted, and it cuts on the side of the lid so it leaves no sharp sides. I must admit, it's kind of cool.

So, before I take the plunge I thought I'd ask my dear Cook'n friends. What kind of can opener should I buy? And, if I don't have it in the list... please leave a comment about your new loved gadget. Thanks everyone!
