When preparing the Tamale Pie, cook 3 pounds of ground beef until done. Remove 2/3 of the meat and cool. Store to use in Meal 4, Picadillo Cubano.
To make this salad easy, trim the stems, slice the Brussels sprouts in half and toss in the food processor. A quick couple of pulses will chop them coarsely. Chop and extra 1/2 pound and save to make the Brussels Sprouts Pizza for Meal 5.
To prepare the Pacidillo Cubano, you already cooked the ground beef for this recipe during Meal 1. Crumble the cooked ground beef in a skillet and add the spices and remaining ingredients. Simmer for 30 minutes. You cut 20 minutes off your cooking time!
When making the bread, double the recipe so you make 2 loaves. One of the loaves, make into a round. Bake this round on a baking sheet. You will use the round for the Cheesy Bacon Pull-Apart Bread for Meal 5.
To prepare the pizza, use the chopped Brussels sprouts you saved when preparing the Shaved Brussels Sprout Salad for Meal 3. A little different than this recipe, but easier and tastes just as good.
Use the round loaf of Cuban Bread that you made yesterday to make the Cheesy Bacon Pull Apart Bread.
