Food Storage Stew
Recipe from the September 2011 Newsletter
Serves 6
Ingredients:
- 1 (15-ounce) can kidney beans
- 1 (15-ounce) can black beans
- 1 (15-ounce) can tomatoes with chilies
- 1 (6-ounce) can green chili
- 2 cups chopped carrots
- 1 (15-ounce) can corn
- 2 tablespoons dried minced onion
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together in a large crock pot. Cook on high heat for 4-5 hours or on low heat for 6-7 hours. Serve with garnishes like tortilla chips, shredded cheese, and sour cream if desired.
