Gifts for Mom and Dad can be so hard to come up with! Last month I put together a list of fun cookbooks that moms would love. And I thought- why leave the dads out? Whether your man is a beginner in the kitchen or knows his way around the stovetop, there are so many great cookbook options for men out there! And maybe it’s the book-lover in me, but I feel like a good cookbook is a gift that just can’t go wrong!


Let’s face it- not every man (or woman!) is comfortable in the kitchen, and sometimes it’s nice to have something that teaches skills as well as sharing tasty recipes. I don’t own this cookbook, but from reading the reviews this seems like a great option for teaching Dad all the things he might need to know- everything from the difference between a skillet and saucepan to how to shop for the food. This seems like a great option for college kids or newlyweds as well!


Traegers have become the big thing right now- and for good reason! Everything I’ve ever tried from a traeger has been amazing. And every guy I know that has a traeger loves using it, so having a book full of great recipes is sure to be a hit for your traeger-lovin’ man!


If the father in your life loves to camp, this could be a great option! My husband has been taking our older kids camping, and this would be a great way to give them ideas for different meals besides your basic hot dog on a stick!


If your guy is fairly comfortable in the kitchen, this cookbook seems to have really great reviews! And who doesn’t love one-pan dinners? Plus, it says “for men”, so it looks a little more manly than some of the other cookbooks out there!

And then of course, there’s cookbooks for all the different fandoms out there! Here are a few more popular ones.


If you have a man in your life that loves Star Wars, this cookbook has recipes inspired by meals you see in Disneyland and Disney World! Tons of variety for your lightsaber-swinging Jedi!

There’s no denying that Trekkies are some of the most die-hard fans out there! If this sounds like your dad, then this book is sure to be a pleaser. It has tons of recipes, but also includes on-set anecdotes, information about props used, etc that make it a truly unique cookbook!


Another popular fandom is Lord of the Rings. It’s such a classic, and most guys I know love this epic story. Why not feed that love with this beautiful hobbit cookbook? I mean, which guy is going to oppose “second breakfast”? ;)


A lesser-known series, but super popular with those who are familiar with it, is Firefly (the TV show that came before the movie Serenity). This cookbook has several great reviews, whether you’re a fan of the series or not!


And last but not least, maybe your man loves all the things- Mario, Zelda, Game of Thrones, Hunger Games, Harry Potter, etc - this is the cookbook for him! References to tons of different “geeky” things- a great way to incorporate more than one fandom!
