4 Dips For Your Super Bowl Party!

I’ll be honest- I don’t fully understand the Super Bowl hype. I grew up watching BYU football, because we lived in Provo, my dad went to BYU, and we were blue-blooded cougar fans all the way! But college football is about the extent of my interest. When it comes to the pros- I’ve just never been dedicated to a team enough to spend hours watching.

But something I CAN get behind, is the food. An event that brings people together and is an excuse to serve up all sorts of deliciousness? Maybe football isn’t so bad….. Sign me up!!

Just kidding ;). Kind of. In all seriousness, I really do love an excuse to have party food, and with the Super Bowl coming up, I know many people start planning menus and appetizers for the big game! Honestly, the hard part is probably limiting your menus to just a couple things!

That’s why I love dips. They’re so easy to make, and you can easily make a couple different varieties to suit everyone’s palates! You can also change them up by serving them with all kinds of different dipping foods, like baguettes, crackers, chips, etc. They’re a great crowd-pleaser!

If you need some dip ideas, look no further!

First up we have this delicious Fiesta Corn Dip. It may not seem all that special, but this dip is one of the most popular items at my family’s baby and bridal showers! (Of which, we’ve had many haha). You can leave out the jalapenos to make it less spicy, leave out the cilantro for picky eaters, or omit the olives if you don’t want the salt- and all of these adaptations are still delicious! But for me personally, I say add them all!! Perfect with tortilla chips.

Fiesta Corn Dip

So addicting! Definitely a crowd-pleaser! You can leave out the jalapenos to cut out spice, and Mom always leaves out the olives- because frankly it doesn't even need them!

This Creamy Caramel Dip is another family favorite. It goes so great with apples, grapes, and strawberries, but honestly you could serve it with anything and people will be thrilled! It’s like dessert! (But you can argue that it’s slightly healthier, because you’re serving it with fruit ;) ).

Creamy Caramel Dip

Works great as a dressing for fruit salad too!

Ingredients:
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup sour cream
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 cup cold milk
1 (3.4-ounce) package instant vanilla pudding
assorted fresh fruit

Directions:
In mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and brown sugar until smooth. Add the remaining ingredients in order, beating well after each addition. Cover and chill for 1 hour. Serve as a dip for fruit.
