I have spent the last 2 hours reading your newsletter and wonderful recipes. I have already printed a whole bunch I want to try. I love them because they are using ingredients one has on hand. I love that and just wanted you to know how much we appreciate all your hard work in putting together this newsletter. Thank you very much.

The 14 Super Foods
Everyday Foods That Can
Change Your Health For the Better!

by Alice Osborne

By making these highly-nutritious foods part of our regular eating habits, we can actually change the course of our biochemistry and stop the incremental changes in our bodies that lead to diseases such as type II diabetes, hypertension, cancers, obesity and Alzheimer’s.

Doesn’t it inspire hope to know that we can do so much to enhance our own health? And here’s the ultra cool part: there are NO negative side affects to deal with!

So as promised…Super Foods here we come! Here are a few recipes you might like that will help you work these powerhouses into your diet:

Raw Tomato Avocado Soup

5 tomatoes (organic or vine-ripened if possible)
1 ripe avocado
1 onion
¼ C ground almonds
1 veggie bullion cube
¼ tsp dill seed
Dash cayenne pepper
Dash sea salt
Dash black pepper

Place ingredients in blender.

Serves 1 or 2.

This is a nice soup to have either cold (a bit like gazpacho) or warmed (on a slightly chilly morning or evening)...

Warm Broccoli and Tomato Salad

4 cups broccoli florets
2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
1 cup spinach
1/2 cucumber, diced
Juice of 1 lemon
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tsp dried oregano

1. Very lightly steam the broccoli, until it is just tender
2. Mix all of the ingredients into a bowl, stirring in the lemon and olive oil
3. Season lightly and serve while the broccoli is still warm. Voila.

Serves 2.

Orange Julius Supreme

2 C vanilla-flavored soy milk
2 or 3 peeled/seeded oranges (to your taste)
Dash vanilla
A few ice cubes

Place ingredients in blender and blend on high. The real thing has sugar, but we think this is so good, there’s no need to add anything toxic!

Serves 1 (if Alice is the customer), or 2 normal folks.
