Give-Aways

I have spent the last 2 hours reading your newsletter and wonderful recipes. I have already printed a whole bunch I want to try. I love them because they are using ingredients one has on hand. I love that and just wanted you to know how much we appreciate all your hard work in putting together this newsletter. Thank you very much.

Tamari Sauce?

I have a stir-fry recipe with Tamari Sauce in it. I have looked at two grocery stores and all I can find is a Tamari brand salad dressing that comes in about 8 different flavors. What exactly is Tamari Sauce and where can I get it?

Hi Olen,

Tamari is a type of soy sauce brewed from soybeans (instead of wheat). It has a richer flavor than the soy sauce we're accustomed to. If your supermarket carries it, it would be found in the Asian section. You can also find it in Asian specialty grocers. It's also availble through online sources.

Alternatively, you can just use regular soy sauce.

Hope this helps,

Desi
