Corn Bread with Honey Butter
Serves 6
Ingredients:
2 cups flour2 cups cornmeal
2 tablespoons baking powder
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
2 cups milk
2 eggs
1/2 cup oil
Mix dry ingredients together. Combine milk, eggs and oil. Add to dry ingredients and stir just until moistened. Pour in greased 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Bake at 400 degreesF for 20 to 25 minutes, until lightly brown.
NOTE: Use left over corn bread for breakfast. Cut in half and heat in microwave. Serve with butter and syrup--one of our family favorites.
