You Be the Hero
By Sydney Hill
Bobby is outside playing in the yard. He stumbles, he falls, he cries, and he really means it. He's got quite the boo-boo. A band-aid's not going to cut it this time. It looks slightly bruised and it may start to swell. Time to be the hero.
Sure, you can buy an ice pack at the store, or use frozen peas, but why not just make an ice pack yourself? Here's how:
Homemade Ice Pack
Ingredients:
1 cup liquid dish soap
1/2 cup rubbing alcohol
2 quart-size freezer bags
wrapping tape
Directions:
Recipe formatted with the Cook'n Recipe Software from DVO Enterprises.
This works because it doesn't freeze all the way. It will mold to the area that is injured. It's very easy and cheap. Worth it to be the hero. Careful though. Notice the picture with DO NOT EAT. You don't want anyone confusing this for a popsicle.
