This week we have some really healthy recipes to keep the trend going for the month of January. We are starting off with a couple of turkey recipes.
First is a roasted turkey breast that can go with any of the healthy starches we have already posted this month that will be in your Cook'n Library (either the Rice Pilaf, the mashed potatoes, or any sort of side salad)—links provided below!
The 2nd is a turkey stew with bananas, mangos, and other tropical flavours. It sounds different, but I guarentee that it is a worthwhile addition to the dish.
Next we have a Chicken chili that will keep you warm during the cold nights
Finally, a tomato soup with some cheesy homemade croutons that can also go with any other soup you want to make.
And then a banana pudding for a dessert anytime this week. It takes a little bit of time, but the payoff is worth it!

Dovetailing Tip:
- This week we have a recipe with turkey breasts and another one with turkey legs. Save yourself some money and a shopping trip and buy a whole turkey! Most groceries still have frozen turkeys from the holiday and still have them at a great price.
Dovetailing Tip:
- Buy enough bananas for your stew and your pudding in the same trip. Be careful to not cut the bananas at the same time to prevent them from going brown
Dovetailing Tip:
- You can substitute any extra turkey for the chicken in this recipe.
Dovetailing Tip:
- Leftover tomato soup is great for a day where you are busier! Warm leftover tomato soup in a saucepan when you get home, or put it in the crockpot to heat it through.
