A Fall-Themed Charcuterie Board- Beautiful and Fun!

Fall is one of my favorite times of year for many reasons, but one of the things I love about this time of year is the colors! There is something about the color palette of reds, oranges, yellows, browns and greens that are breathtaking and comforting. My family loves to walk up the canyon regularly and take it all in!

Many of us just can’t get enough of that beautiful color palette, and it’s fun to bring these beautiful colors and themes into the kitchen through the food we eat! Autumn cookies, colorful cakes- and beautiful charcuterie boards!

I have a beautiful book that has tons of fun charcuterie board ideas, and one of them was a Fall Feast Board. I knew I’d have to put that one together as soon as I saw it! I tweaked it a little from the original, but I love how it turned out!

My kids were thrilled when I brought it to the table. Of course, they saw all the goodies and were excited to try those, but the colors and presentation absolutely had an impact as well! There’s something super fun about a board full of beautifully arranged and colorful food!

I found the cute maple leaf sandwiches at Smith’s in the cracker/cookie aisle (Kroger brand). I also took a trip to Trader Joe’s, and they had so many fun things! Beet and sweet potato crackers made beautiful additions- I loved the red of the beet crackers! They also had maple kettle corn, maple butter, and cute tortilla chips shaped like a variety of fall leaves! These were probably my kids’ favorites. And what’s not to love about a tasty tortilla chip that’s also as beautiful as fall leaves?

Here’s the list of stuff I added to my board:

  • Orange pepper slices
  • Carrot slices
  • Dried apricots
  • Fuji apple slices
  • Caramel dip
  • Maple butter
  • Candy corn
  • Mellowcreme pumpkins
  • Maple kettle corn
  • Beet crackers
  • Sweet potato crackers
  • Dove milk chocolate pumpkins
  • Leaf-shaped tortilla chips
  • Maple cream leaf cookies
  • Cheddar cheese cubes
  • Clementines with cilantro sprigs
  • Homemade cheeseball
To make the cheese ball into a pumpkin, let it firm up in a small bowl in the fridge, while wrapped in plastic wrap. Gently use a butter knife to make indentations on the sides (like a pumpkin), and then gently unwrap. Use the butter knife to deepen the grooves if necessary, and top with the green stem of a bell pepper (like the one you cut up for your fall board!)

Some other items you could add to your fall board :

  • Dried figs
  • Dried apple slices
  • Pear slices
  • Pumpkin spice pretzels
  • Cheez-its (or other orange crackers)
  • Colored goldfish
  • Chicago Mix popcorn (cheddar and caramel popcorn)
  • Pumpkin bread slices (or cubes)
  • Pumpkin cookies
  • Snickerdoodles
  • Pickled baby corn
  • Pomegranate seeds
  • Candied nuts
My kids had so much fun with this board, and my husband and I loved it as well! Boards are so much fun to enjoy as a family; I feel like it really does excite children to try new things, and it’s such a great way to encourage conversation and family time. We’ll be doing many more boards in the future!

What would you put on your fall board? I’d love to hear!
