Here are a Few Ideas for Easy Halloween Treats and Eats

I don’t know about you, but Halloween can be very busy. Especially if you are like me and are trying to wrangle up or make several costumes for you and your family. You might be going to a Halloween party or hosting a party and need some last-minute easy ideas for festive treats and foods. I’ve got a great list of easy and cute Halloween treats to make for this type of event or just for your family at home!

1. Candy Corn Bark

Using a mixture of white chocolate and colorful candy melts like yellow and orange, you have a cute colorful base to add your favorite halloween candy mixins like candy corn or Reese’s Pieces to make a fun and festive Halloween-inspired candy corn bark.

2. Halloween Cheesecake Bars

Use your favorite recipe for pumpkin cheesecake bars (or even the pumpkin spice sheet cake recipe I shared in my other article today) and top with halloween colored sprinkles, candy corn and candy eyeballs.

3. Halloween Chex Mix

Add festive Halloween candies like candy corn, Reese’s pieces, etc. to your favorite Chex Mix recipe.

4. Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies

These cookies have got to be one of the most easy cookie recipes out there! They have always been kind of a no-fail recipe and are a crowd pleaser, so this is one easy way to break out some easy holiday fun and tastiness

5. Halloween Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies

This is a simple way to make classic peanut butter blossom cookies look a little bit spooky. Simply pipe chocolate legs, extending from the Hershey’s kiss on top to make it look like spider legs. It makes for an adorable spider cookie!

6. Pumpkin Trifle

Make a gorgeous pumpkin trifle with layers of spice cake, whipped cream, a pumpkin and cream cheese mixture, and topped with lots of whipped cream and gingerbread cookies.

7. Candy Corn Cookies

Take your favorite white chocolate chip cookie recipe, like a macadamia white chocolate chip cookie, and place a few candy corns on top of each cookie before you bake them. They are adorable and so tasty!

8. Pumpkin Truffles

Everybody loves a good truffle (my favorite are the easy chocolate Oreo truffles), and pumpkin truffles are no exception! The middle is filled with pumpkin, spices, cream cheese, crushed Graham crackers and chunks of white chocolate, then you can coat these truffles in white or dark chocolate with a dash of cinnamon on top to make them look extra festive.

9. Mummy Hot Dogs

For a savory treat or appetizer, you can make mummy hotdogs, which are essentially hotdogs wrapped in pieces of crescent dough. You can add a thin slice of cheese, like pepper, jack cheese, to the underside of the hotdog and wrap the crescent dough around the hot dog and cheese. Bake it and add little drops of mustard for the eyes at the end--they are so tasty and extra delicious with the addition of cheese.

What are your favorite festive Halloween treats to make? Have you made any of these before? Please share your thoughts in the comments below.
