Celebrate National Coffee Day with This Butterbeer Latte
I had no idea that my birthday is National Coffee Day (September 29), which is probably one of the favorite holidays for almost everyone in America. Did you know that 64% of Americans drink coffee everyday? Which adds up to Americans drinking about 400 million cups of coffee every day! Just for fun, here are a few other fun coffee facts to really get in the spirit of the holiday :)
Okay, now that we learned more about this beloved tasty beverage that most Americans and people around the world enjoy every day, I wanted to share a fun recipe for you to try this fall. Even if you are not a coffee drinker, there is still a way to enjoy this tasty butterbeer beverage, which also means you can make a version for grown-ups and kids at the same time!
I love all things Harry Potter, so when I saw a recipe for a “butterbeer latte”, I knew I had to check the recipe out. If you don’t know what butterbeer is, it is the beloved hot beverage that Harry Potter and his friends (as well as all the other witches and wizards) loved to drink at the favorite local tavern in Hogsmeade, the main hubbub city for the witches and wizards. They started selling a version of butterbeer at Harry Potter World in Orlando, Florida when that opened up, but you don’t need to go to Florida or Burbank, California to get your fix!
You can make a latte right at home to make a comforting, warm butterscotch flavored drink. As I said, you can totally omit the coffee or espresso altogether and just mix your butterscotch sauce you will be making with the milk and you will have a tasty, decadent beverage that is perfect for the fall and winter months ahead. However, the butterscotch flavor pairs nicely with a nice strong cup of coffee or double shot of espresso.
So how will you be celebrating National Coffee Day on September 29? Are you a coffee drinker? Feel free to share how often you have coffee, if you are a drip-maker coffee kind of person, go out and get it at a coffee shop, or make an individual serving in a Keurig-type maker. We’ll see if you guys are similar to these stats polled by Americans.
