Tools You Definitely Need For Cinco de Mayo!
Cinco de Mayo is just around the corner- the perfect day to indulge in some delicious Mexican food! Not that you really need an excuse…Mexican food is probably my all time favorite food and it just never gets old. While I don’t need an excuse to partake in Mexican deliciousness, it’s still fun to celebrate holidays and use the excuse ;). The question is- do you have all the right tools you need to make your delicious goodies?
Tortilla warmer. This is such a handy tool for warming tortillas, and keeping them that way! I don’t always stress about warming up my tortillas, but I know my hubby appreciates it when I take the time to do so. This nifty tool makes it super easy to do if you have a microwave!
The ultimate Mexican food tool. I love ordering the spicy shrimp tacos when my husband goes to Chili’s (his favorite restaurant) and they always come out in a handy little taco holder, and it’s honestly the handiest thing! Your tacos stay nice and put together in taco perfection instead of falling apart on the plate the minute you set it down. Especially because a good taco is one that has all the fixin’s! Let this tool help you out ;)
Manual food processor. This is one of my favorite tools for making pico de gallo. It makes chopping everything up so easy, and my kids love helping with the task!
Vegetable chopper. These are also super handy for homemade pico! It cuts down the time it takes to cut everything up significantly. And nothing beats homemade pico de gallo!!
Garlic press. Speaking of homemade pico, the best pico has a hint of garlic- but the best way to really make sure that flavor gets evenly spread is with a handy mincer like this tool- you can easily crush your garlic and make it the perfect size for adding to pico, hamburger meat for tacos, etc.
Avocado slicer. I haven’t tried this tool yet, but it looks amazing, and has great reviews! Definitely on my list of things to try!
Pizza cutter. If you want to try your hand at homemade tortilla chips, you definitely need a good pizza cutter! You can make salty tortilla chips, or make a dessert version by sprinkling them with cinnamon sugar!
Speaking of dessert, churros is probably the most popular Mexican dessert. The way to achieve that classic churro look is a good quality piping bag and a large star tip!
What tools will you be using for Cinco de Mayo? If any of the ones I listed above caught your eye, I listed all my sources below so you can find them!
