Orange Ice Cream
Orange zest and juice give this ice cream a bright orange flavor. The summer treat is soft and easy to scoop.

1/2 cup whole milk
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup orange juice
3 tablespoons grated orange zest
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract, optional
1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
Directions:
In a small saucepan, heat milk to 175°; stir in sugar until dissolved. Remove from heat, add juice and zest. If desired, add vanilla extract. Cool completely.
In a large bowl, beat cream until stiff peaks form; fold in milk mixture. Pour into a 9x5-in. loaf pan, freeze 4 hours or until firm. Remove from the freezer 15 minutes before serving.
