Preheat oven to 350°.
In a 12 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish, spread pie filling. Sprinkle evenly with cheese set aside.
In a small mixer bowl, prepare cake mix, using only half the water, egg and oil required for a whole cake. Spread cake batter evenly over cheese.
In a small bowl, stir pecans, flour, brown sugar and butter or margarine until blended. Sprinkle over top of cake.
Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until center springs back when touched and feels set.
While warm, cut into squares and serve bottom up.
High Altitude Adjustments: At 6,000 feet, prepare cake mix adding flour and increasing liquid as directed on package.
