Up to 2 months before using:
In a small bowl, mix sugar, coffee granules, orange peel and anise seeds. Store in an airtight container.
To use, place filter paper in the basket of an automatic drip coffee maker or percolator. Stir coffee mixture before measuring. For each serving, use 2 tablespoons of the mix and 6 ounces water. Place mix in basket and add water to coffee maker. Set at strong and brew according to manufacturer's directions. Serve as a dessert coffee, adding liqueur or whipped cream if desired.
