Heat oil about 2 inches deep in skillet or deep fat fryer to 375° F. Drop skins in one at a time, browning just a few at a time. Takes about 1 minute for them to reach golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper. Serve warm or at room temperature. Sprinkle with salt while still warm if desired.
* Won ton skins may be purchased in the gourmet food section of most supermarkets. They come in 3-inch square packets of about 50.
