1. Place pie filling and almond extract in a 1-quart microwavable baking dish that has sides about 2 inches high. Stir until blended. Set aside until later.
2. Place butter or margarine in a small microwavable bowl. Microwave, uncovered, at 100% power (700 watts) for 30 seconds or until melted.
3. Place oatmeal in a small bowl. If the flavor you are using has raisins in it, pick out the raisins and stir them into the pie filling. If there are no raisins, skip this step.
4. Add oatmeal and brown sugar to melted butter or margarine. Stir until well mixed. Spoon mixture evenly over pie filling.
5. Microwave, uncovered, at 100% power for 4 minutes. Turn baking dish one-half turn. Microwave at 100% power 3 to 6 minutes longer or until very bubbly. Cooking time will be 7 to 10 minutes total. Carefully remove from microwave oven with hot pads.
6. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped topping.
