* Cooking Time: 7 minutes Power: 100% (700 watts) Standing Time: 5 minutes Place one clean large heavy brown grocery sack inside a second large grocery sack. Place popped corn and peanuts in sack set aside.
In a 4-cup microwavable measuring cup or bowl, place brown sugar, butter, corn syrup and salt. Microwave, uncovered, at 100% power (700 watts) for 5 minutes or until mixture boils rapidly, stirring after 3 minutes. Stir in baking soda until dissolved. Stir in vanilla.
Carefully pour hot mixture over popped corn in sack. Fold down top of sack several times and shake bag to coat mixture. Place paper sack in microwave oven with top still folded down. Microwave at 100% power for 2 minutes, shaking sack after 1 minute. Spread mixture onto a waxed paper-lined baking sheet and let cool for 5 minutes before eating.
Store in plastic bags.
