1. Place the bread cubes in a medium-size mixing bowl. In a separate bowl, combine the oil, garlic, and salt. Drizzle the garlic oil over the bread cubes and toss to coat well.
2. Arrange the bread cubes in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 15 minutes, or until the cubes are crisp. Allow to cool, then serve on salads or in soups. Store any leftover croutons in a plastic bag in the freezer.
