1. Prepare the dough as instructed in the recipe. After transferring the
flour mixture from the bowl into a resealable plastic bag, push the dough
together until blended. Using clean fingers, divide the dough into 24 pieces.
2. Roll each piece into a 5-inch strip, pinching and smoothing the ends
together. Brush the top and sides with the beaten egg, and roll the tops and
sides in the topping of your choice. Bake as directed and serve at room
temperature.
NOTE: Black onion seeds are available at Middle Eastern grocery stores or
specialty shops.
