The tramezino is made from sliced white bread, usually untoasted with toppings such as:
*Tuna canned in oil and sliced hard cooked eggs.
*Tuna and hearts of artichoke. A classic and very flavorsome.
*Cooked spinach with fresh mozzarella cheese, seasoned with a squeeze of lemon juice and a dash of pepper.
*Lettuce and smoked salmon.
*Shrimp and lettuce, preferably served cold and often with mayonnaise.
