Fun Poolside Snacks!
Summer is full of sunshine, popsicles- and lots of pool parties! It’s natural to want to cool down by the pool when it starts to get hot outside! You may or may not be a huge fan of the pool, but since you’re here I know you’re a fan of fun and delicious food! And what better way to add even more fun to your pool party than with some fun, creative poolside food?
- Teddy grahams are just the cutest- and so tasty too! Did you know that a Teddy Graham placed in a gummy Lifesaver looks just like a little swimmer in a floating tube? Place on top of blue jello and/or blue-dyed whipped cream to finish the look!
- Picture above is a fun fruit snack board I put together for my daughter’s summer birthday. I got this board idea from The Baker Mama’s cookbook, Beautiful Boards. My kids LOVED it, and I just loved how cute it turned out! This would definitely be a great poolside snack board!
- These little flip-flops are adorable! They really wouldn’t be too hard to put together, either. You could use Nutter Buttes, Milanos, Lotus Biscoff cookies or anything with a similar shape. Creat the straps with frosting, or chopped Pull n’ Peel Twizzlers.
- Crushed graham crackers look like sand- and you could utilize this in many desserts! Sprinkle it on top of banana pudding, the peach dessert I shared a couple weeks ago, or even ice cream!
- Watermelon pops! Slice up a bunch of watermelon into thin, large triangles. Insert a large popsicle stick at the bottom, and your kids/guests can munch on watermelon like a giant popsicle! Such a cute idea, and an easier way to enjoy this classic summertime snack!
- Did you know that when you open up the tops of bananas just a little bit, they look like dolphins? Just draw on a couple eyeballs! These would be cute by themselves or in a cup of fruit!
- Another cute idea from this website- slice up half an apple, and spread out like crabs legs. Place the other half on top with chocolate chip eyeballs for the cutest little crab!
- Gummy sharks are so fun- and if you’re not feeling up to making a big fancy board, these will still make your kids squeal with glee!
- Goldfish. Another easy snack for the pool!
- As long as you serve it with a beach bucket and shovel, you can pretty much serve anything! A bucket of pretzels, popcorn, trail mix, chips, crackers- all will look super festive in a cute bucket, scooped out with a shovel!
