The Longer Story: This problem began to occur on older devices when we added support for the Apple Watch App. As it turns out, the Apple libraries that we added to support Cook'n for Apple Watch caused this problem. We were surprised that Apple didn't document this anywhere. Fortunately, it only affected about .27% of our active users.
