In order for the food to look its best in the photo, "stand-in" foods are used during the preparation process. When everything is ready, the actual food is freshly prepared and rushed into the studio, and the photo is snapped! What happens to the leftovers? Although some have to be discarded due to the excessive handling they endure, other leftovers are donated to local food banks.
