FOOD for THOUGHT
These waffles, made from a blend of peanut butter and flour together, give you plenty of protein, magnesium and iron. Protein supplies needed nitrogen that's vital for life and the growth of new cells in the body. The waffles supply lots of important calories your body needs for healing. If you can eat only one, save the other for later in the day. For a crisp waffle, pop it into the toaster.

"I make these into pancakes by pouring ¼ cup batter onto a greased hot griddle and cooking until they're puffed and full of bubbles. The I turn them and cook the other side until golden brown. I freeze them and reheat as needed. Pancakes are so easy to eat I live on them right after chemo or as soon as I can eat solid food after surgery." -Anne R.
