Cobbler or Crisp Topping

Ingredients

1 quart heavy cream
1/2 cup fine granulated sugar
2 to 3 tablespoons vanilla extract

Directions:

In a medium bowl, whip the heavy cream to soft peaks with a hand cranked egg beater or electric mixer. Slowly add sugar and continue whipping then add vanilla. Whip just until combined and not quite stiff peaks. Serve on top of hot fruit crisp or cobbler like ice cream.
