Combine crumbs, cheese, salt, and pepper. Dip breasts in melted butter, then in crumb mixture, being careful to coat breasts evenly.
Place breasts skin side up in a buttered baking dish and bake in a 350° oven for 35–40 minutes. Do not turn chicken.
Recipe may be prepared the day before and refrigerated, then baked. Also freezes well both before and after baking. To reheat after thawed, heat in a 325° oven.
