Stir together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a mixing bowl. Add the bran cereal.
Combine the margarine, milk and egg substitute and add to the flour mixture stirring quickly until the dry ingredients are moistened and the batter is lumpy. Divide the batter into 12 muffin cups. Bake for 25 minutes at 400 degrees until done.
