Bottom Layer:
In saucepan combine 1/2 cup butter and cocoa. Heat and stir until well blended. Add 1/2 cup powdered sugar, egg, and vanilla. Stir in cracker crumbs; mix well. Press into ungreased 9x13-inch pan.
Middle Layer:
Melt 1/2 cup butter. Mix in crème de menthe at low speed of mixer. Beat in remaining 3 cups powdered sugar until smooth. Spread over chocolate layer. Chill 1 hour.
Top Layer:
Combine remaining 1/4 cup butter and chocolate chips. Cook and stir over low heat until melted. Spread over mint layer. Chill 1–2 hours. Store in refrigerator. Freezes well.
