Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Brown meat with onion. Drain and spread in a lightly greased 8 x 8-inch or 9 x 9-inch pan. Drain green beans, reserving liquid in a separate bowl. Layer green beans evenly over meat. Mix reserved liquid with soup and spread over top. Place tater tots lengthwise over soup and cover entire surface. Bake 25–30 minutes, or until tater tots are brown and crispy. Makes 4–6 servings.
