1. Brown the sausage and drain the excess fat.
2. Mince the onion.
3. Chop the apple into 1?4 inch cubes.
4. Place all of the ingredients, except the butter and 1?4 cup of the apple juice, in a large bowl and mix until well blended.
5. Add the stuffing to the cavity of a turkey (or chicken) or place it in a large buttered casserole dish. If using a dish, dot the top of the stuffing with butter and drizzle with 1?4 cup apple juice. Cover and bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 45 minutes or until golden brown.
