Several people have contacted me to say that they are having difficulty entering new ingredients.
Cook'n automatically adds the new ingredients you enter into the ingredient list. However, if the name of the ingredient you want to enter is part of an existing ingredient the software will select the existing ingredient rather than adding the new one. I'll show you how to get around this.
For example, let's say that the ingredient "apple" is not on the list but "apple juice" is. When you type "apple" hoping to add the ingredient to the list, the software will add "apple juice" to your recipe rather than adding "apple" to the ingredient list.
In situations like this, the way to add the ingredient is to click Foods on the toolbar and click New. I hope this helps!
