Poor Man Turtles
“I have this very simple recipe for those who are thinking about making their own Christmas candies, and I would like to share it. This is also fun for the little kids to make with mom--dad or both.” --Pat
Roll-o candies-------at least 24. There are 8 pieces to one candy roll.
Round petrels-------same number as candies.
Pecan halves--------- same number as candies and pretzels.
1. Preheat oven to 300°.
2. Place the pretzels on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Put one piece of Roll-o candy in the middle of each pretzel.
3. Place cookie sheet in the oven till the candies are soft-- about five minuets.
4. Remove from oven, and press a pecan half into the middle of each Roll-o so that the holes of the pretzel are filled with melted Roll-O.
5. Allow chocolate to harden before removing from the cookie sheet.
And now you have POOR MAN TURTLES!
