Food Inspired Halloween Costumes
Let’s talk about Halloween! I am getting costumes together for our family CIRCUS theme this year! Honestly, I’m most excited for my costume: a bag of popcorn! I have had this costume on my mind for over 5 years as I scroll Pinterest and get inspired every year when I see it rolling around.
Have you ever dressed up as a food item for a Halloween party? I have gone to Pinterest and found even more fun food costumes that may inspire you like they have me! Here are some of my favorites, and some basic ideas for how to make them!
This is made with cut up pool noodles, stock up at the Dollar Store! The bowl is large paper mache, and the spoon is made with tin foil for the metal effect!
This is a super simple costume, good for a last minute idea or friends (husband!) who doesn’t want to dress up much but still wants to participate!
I think this costume is so cute for any age! Use cheap batting and spray paint it pink or blue, then roll up some printer paper as the wand and you’re done!
Such a sweet costume, and one I haven’t seen around. You could do this with fabric markers or paint and a t-shirt from the craft store.
There are lots of cute ways to achieve this look, but basically red on bottom, pom poms hot glued on as gumballs, and chewing gum in your mouth! So great!
I LOVE this costume, I just think it’s the cutest! Use felt to construct the various pieces and paint with acrylics. Use black duct tape on the sides to get that shiny paper wrapping. The rice is made of foam you can buy as a bumper pad set on Amazon.
I challenge you to have fun and get creative with your costumes this year!
