ANSWER:

Yes. Each cookbook that we sell has a hidden code in it that we use to validate that the cookbook is one that was purchased from us. When we detect this code, we display the "Redownload" button. That way, the user could change the name of the cookbook in their library, for example, and we will still be able to recognize it even if the name is different.

But, we didn't start doing this till around 2014. So, any cookbooks that were imported before that year will not have that hidden code. And, without the code, the "Redownload" buttons will not appear. So, I'm guessing she imported these cookbooks before that code was added.
