A Better Way to Chop Chocolate
Instead of using a knife to chop chocolate before melting it, hold the wrapped chocolate bar against the side of the counter. Working up the length of the bar, press the chocolate against the countertop. When you're done, the whole bar will be broken into smallish pieces that are perfect for melting-and there's no cleanup. Smart, huh?
Adding Eggs to Batter
To add several eggs to a batter "one at a time, mixing each egg in thoroughly before adding the next," break all of the eggs into a measuring cup that has a spout (a typical Pyrex measuring cup is what we're referring to). When you turn on the mixer, you can slowly and accurately pour in one egg at a time. Smart, huh?
