1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup brown sugar packed
1 cup flour
2 eggs
3/4 cup brown sugar packed
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups coconut
2 teaspoons flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup nuts chopped
Preheat oven to 350°. Combine margarine, 1/2 c. brown sugar, and 1 c. flour. Press evenly into greased 13" x 9" x 2" baking pan. Beat eggs; gradually add 3/4 c. brown sugar and vanilla. Mix coconut, 2 T. flour, baking powder, and nuts, then stir into egg mixture. Carefully spoon over layer in pan. Bake 20 minutes. Cool slightly before cutting. Makes 32.
