Caramel Pear Squares

2 frozen pie crusts (5 1/2 oz. each)
1/2 cup brown sugar packed
1 egg
4 pears Bartlett, peeled, cored and sliced
1 jar caramel ice cream topping (12 1/4 oz.)
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Vanilla ice cream (optional)
In a small bowl, mix pie crust sticks, brown sugar and egg until crumbly. In the bottom of an 8 x 8 x 2-inch glass baking dish, spread half of the mixture. Press lightly. Microwave at 100% power (700 watts) for 3 minutes or until crust is puffed, rotating dish after each minute. Cool.
Arrange pears on partially cooked crust, drizzle with caramel topping and lemon juice. Top with remaining crumb mixture. Microwave uncovered at 100% power for 10 to 12 minutes or until pears are tender, rotating dish after 5 minutes. Cool.
Cut into squares and serve with ice cream if desired.
