Homemade Brown Sugar

Below is a note from our reader and Monthly Newsletter article contributor, Jeanne Wolfley. I'm assuming I'm not the only one that had no idea you could make your own Brown Sugar, so here's a wonderful recipe from Jeanne...



I never buy brown sugar, I always make my own.

Homemade Brown Sugar

1 cup of granulated sugar
1 heaping Tablespoon molasses

In a mixing bowl add sugar and molasses and mix lightly with a fork, finish mixing with finger tips. Pack tightly into 1 cup measuring cup and use as you would store bought brown sugar.
