Make Your Own Taco Bowls!
By Patty Liston
We have our family over for dinner every Sunday night. With 5 growing grandsons, I am always looking for fun, filling, yet inexpensive ways to "top them off", before they go home. Cooking various Mexican dishes is always a favorite, so imagine my delight when I saw this clever idea from one of my favorite sites, Tip Hero, TipHero.com. I can't wait to try this. Let me know what you think!
This is all you need to do:
-Take some 6-inch tortillas, sprinkle them with water and stack them on a plate. Cover the top of the stack of tortillas with another plate (turned upside down) and microwave for a minute or so until warm.
-Turn over as many muffin tins as you need. Mist each side of your tortillas with some cooking spray and center between the spaces between 4 muffin cups (creating bowls as pictured above). Repeat with the rest of your tortillas.
-Bake in the oven for about 8-10 minutes. Let bowls cool before filling them with yummy things like cheese, taco sauce, shredded lettuce, sour cream, guacamole, etc.
