Pizza in 1947
I remember what real Italian pizza tasted like in 1947.
The crust was pushed out in a square cookie sheet, pricked with a fork, olive oil applied sparingly, canned tomatoes squeezed almost dry for the sauce basil leaves added, grated Romano cheese topping and anchovies to finish. Baked in a 400 degree oven until done. That was real pizza! Thank you for letting me have my say.
