4 pints (8 cups) fresh strawberries, sliced thick
5 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
Directions:
hirty minutes to an hour before serving, combine the strawberries, balsamic vinegar, sugar, and pepper in a bowl. Set aside at room temperature.
